Pretties From Peony and Sage......

Hello Lovelies!!!!! Let me update you on a few things.....First off, I'm still pregnant, I am due in two days and the reason I'm so suprised is because I have never gone this long in a pregnancy.....But, I am not rushing it, he will come when he's ready! I have been put on bed rest which was very unexpected and don't know how well I will do with that. Okay, enough of that....I was going through Pinterest and came across some boards from Peony and Sage and I am determined now to get my hands on some of their fabric. Inspiring a Beach Cottage.....

Happy weekend lovelies!!!!! How are you?? I have been jam packed busy, the weekends just run into one another, we have been celebrating Birthdays like crazy! My youngest just turned 4 on the 11th, my hubby turned 29 on the 16th and this weekend we are hosting a Birthday party for my nephew who will be 11....I LOVE this quality time with my Family! On another note, living in California during this time of year can be amazing, the weather is just beautiful, by next week we will be in the low 90's =), which has inspired me to create this post for a beach cottage (all images Pinterest) I also want to send my prayers and sympathy to everything that has been going on this past week, Boston, Texas and some local tragedies. My heart breaks for the many victims and their families. Xo, Ashley

Just Me.....

This is me on Sunday before my baby shower began.....To see my belly grow over the months is a magical thing. You start at nothing and then B*O*O*M your body becomes this home for a growing miracle! I am so happy that I am blessed to experience this, not just once, but a few times. I never want to take my children for granted and so I cherish each of them and there many qualities and abilities....I look forward to this new little guy, what will he look like, what will be his personality type, it really is this magical thing of newness, dreams full of hope and love and I continue to thank God for this opportunity (again)! Happy Weekend Lovelies!!! My life has been incredibly busy.....My baby shower is tomorrow! I am exhausted to say the least, sleepless nights have become a constant around here, but the soothing sound of the rain has provided a backdrop of tranquility in the very early hours of the morning....I lay in bed and listen with my whole being to the rain falling...... I came across these images on Pinterest this morning and they speak "Spring" to me. The soft pastels with peaceful whites are meditating. Vintage Garden Inspired Baby Shower Favors...

I don't think I have done this many posts in a week, but I had to share with you the party favors I came up with for my baby shower.... These are super easy and can be used for so many ideas. I bought peat pots from Home Depot, they come in a pack of 10 for $1.67. I opted to paint mine to give it a worn, shabby look (I used leftover paint called Pure White from Martha Stewart). You could always leave them brown or paint whatever color your heart desires =) I then ordered the tags off of Etsy from the shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/PetitePaperie (she has so many wonderful things in her shop). I bought the crinkled ribbon from a shop called "French at Heart" here in northern California (she does not have a website, but located in Lodi,Ca) Any ribbon would do though, I then bought some Spanish moss from Michaels to use as a filler, the next step is to top with babys breath, which wont be needed for about a week or so. I love how they turned out. I am sooo excited to give these away as a little "Thank You". Have a lovely Spring weekend!! Xo, Ashley

In Bloom....

Hello lovelies!!! How is everyone? Well, I must say that I am N*E*S*T*I*N*G (terribly) I just painted my kitchen, thats what I do while my husband is at work and the kids are on Spring break......=) Not only am I in bloom, but my garden is blooming as well so I wanted to share a few photos of what kind of magical beauty is taking place...... I will be 32 weeks into pregnancy tomorrow and I am counting down the weeks =) I am SUPER BUSY these days, but I thought about it and decided I am one of those people who prefer/need to be busy. You Are Invited To A Baby Shower......

I have been gone too long.......I hope you didn't forget about me =) Join me as we eat sweets, chat and share words of wisdom and advice on Motherhod. I am now 30 weeks pregnant and I am anticipating the arrival of our sweet baby to be. Feeling his kicks and flutters constantly brings me to smile. I have also encountered those bittersweet moments of my other children growing too fast, I miss holding them close and it is so important to me to cherish these moments because they will not be young forever. Our baby is expected to arrive May 16th and we have given him the name Sparrow Moon, definitely a unique name and a name that I really adore.
