The Hallway Project......

What did I do on my first day of Summer?? Painted the hallway =) It is a small hallway, with that being said, there is no natural light in the hallway and the previous owners painted it a dark grey blue, great color, but not great for this small space. We bought our home in 2007 and moved in the day before Thankgsgiving and I have always wanted to change the color in this small space, but I just pushed off until now, so, here the before pictures (some might be blurry because of no light) Here are the after photos.... I used a new brand of paint called "America's Finest Interiors" it is part of the glidden brand and get this....$11.97 a gallon at Home Depot and of course you can color match any color from any other brand. The price scared me, got me thinking, it must not be too great if it's this cheap.....I loved it and color matched it Martha Stewart's 'Pure White'. I added the vintage zinc tub full of Lavender on an old antique chair for a simple and subtle accessory. I wish you all a lovely week! Xo, Ashley

  1. Oh yes, the white looks so much better, especially for a small space. How I love lavender and the smell of it. Your hallway looks so charming.

  2. Wow! That is an incredible price for paint! I will have to check that out. I was desperately wishing to paint my kitchen this summer, but unexpected plumbing and car expenses had pushed that thought clean out of my mind, but now mayhaps I can! Thank you for sharing your sweet deal!

  12. Hi Ashley is there any other choice but WHITE :)
Love the new life you breathed into the small space, it is all you and relects your passion for things so Nordic.
I agree with you it really needed to be lightened up, save the greys for open area's :)

Thank you my friend for your visit placing a smile on my face with all that you encourage in your comments. See you soon and all things in white that you inspire.
    xx
