I used some old canning jars to display our recent findings on our nature walk this morning with the bebes....
This is just a little corner of the dining room creating a soft and warm vignette using this little vintage chair with a simple burlap sack and an old ice cream bucket fitted with the best patina....
I bought this fabric about a month ago, not sure what I was even going to use it for, but I knew I would think of something and I did! I will be using it to make the Christmas stockings for the kiddos....On another note...it has yet to feel like "fall" here, we are still in the 90's and the kid's and I are sick...AGAIN...I think it's been almost a month of being sick.....but we felt well enough today to take a walk to see what first signs of Autumn we could find, not too much yet, but in a couple weeks, it will be full blown Autumn....Have a delightful weekend everyone! Quite a few more things listed in my little Etsy shop junafin.etsy.com. The babes and I had the flu, but this time, it really knocked us down, left us with no energy and a week missed from school....and of course the hubbs did not get sick (How does that always happen?) Anyhow, wishing you all a lovely week! Xoxoxo ~Ashley

This is an old metal petite door from a very small cabinet....I loved it's patina, to me it's beautiful, but what to do with it? I added this handmade linen necklace to it to add a bit of softness and hung it on the wall.
This metal box was used to store rolled coins in the banks a long time ago and the patina on this was just beautiful as well...many possibilities awaited this charmer, but I bought dried lavender and filled it with that to make a mini garden inside the home and the aroma is beyond amazing....I used spanish moss as a base so the lavender didn't slide around against the metal.I'm sure you have seen this petite vintage Mary in some of my pictures before, but I just can't get enough...here she is displayed in a metal cloche. I can't help but think of her past, who owned her? How did she get here? The bottom of her is marked with some numbers and it reads Rome, Italy 1950. And to think I bought her for $0.50 at Goodwill. And here is a close up....
I bought the Lavender, metal door and metal coin holder at The Antique Gardener in Sutter Creek, Ca. I love her shop and she is just the nicest lady and do be sure to check out her blog
The rest were bought at Goodwill =) I hope you all are doing wonderful and anticipating this Fall season like I am because here in California, we are still have weather in the high 90's, yesterday it was 100 degrees! Xoxoxo ~Ashley
